The Blessed @ The Stadium Videos

July 19th, 2010

This weekend saw what was meant to be The Blessed‘s last performance together along with the release of their final album Rise of the Blessed Cult. Things got a little out of hand with the crowd and the show had to be shut down.

Not wanting to go out like that, The Blessed will be scheduling a “make-up” last show sometime later in the Summer, so if you missed it – no, you didn’t. In the meantime, enjoy some video footage from the night. This one includes a guest appearance from yours truly.

Great reviews for The Silence Kit

February 26th, 2010

The Silence Kit‘s new album Dislocations has made it’s way into some people’s ears and they’ve had good things to say about it.

“…we’ll be damned if “Dislocations” isn’t a fine listen when it comes down to the layering of guitar melodies (especially when heard on rad opener “Let There Be No Hurt”), and we love the light they brought in on the songwriting for “The Magician”.”
-Girl About Town, February 23rd, 2010

“…the artful arrangements, stark guitars and charismatic vocals recall Joy Division or The Cure…Dislocations is the band’s boldest, most cohesive statement so far.”
-Patrick Rapa, Philadelphia City Paper, February 24th, 2010
